Well, I think Penny’s recovered from surgery.
I stopped by for lunch (after a mere four hours at work) and this is what I came home to. Suddenly very glad I penned her in - that girl wreaked havoc! I had left cardboard in the meagre hope that she’d pee on that if she had to, but instead she chose to pee on top of her kennel, I have NO idea how she got up there, it’s several inches taller than her, but she did, which means if she can jump onto that then she can absolutely jump over the gate - but she hasn’t figured that out, thank goodness, and I’m crossing my fingers that she won’t. The kennel is waterproof though so I just took it outside and hosed it off. I left it outside to dry, so if she has to go again…we’ll see where it ends up.
Since she was obviously feeling better we took a long walk around the neighborhood during which she didn’t go to the bathroom (dammit) but did sniff absolutely everything. She also is a bit scared of crossing streets/driveways, but walks shockingly well on a leash otherwise!
